Following the running of a successful rock night in Bathgate, Cathouse Rock Club first opened its doors on Brown Street, Glasgow.
It played a mix of rock music including: heavy rock, progressive rock, homegrown heavy metal, Seattle rock and British metal.
After quickly gaining popularity, Cathouse moved to a larger, more central location on Union Street, Glasgow where it is still thriving.
Following the successful launch of Cathouse Rock Club, the garage was founded in 1994, becoming
Scotland’s largest nightclub!
The Garage has always tailored to a more mainstream market.
Our clubs have won various awards including:
SLTN Nightclub of the Year; SLTN Independent Pub/ Bar of the Year; Tennants Independent Multiple Operator; Carling Live Entertainment Venue; and Coors Light Nightclub of the Year.
Best Bar None Glasgow
In 2017 The Garage won a Best Bar None Gold Award for Late Night Venue. At the 2018 awards, both The Garage and Cathouse Rock Club stole the show, each of them winning an overall Gold Award for Late Night Venue!
