The Beginning

Hold Fast Entertainment Ltd – formerly Cathouse Promotions Limited (CPL) – was conceived by Donald MacLeod with the launch of Cathouse Rock Club in 1990.

Following the running of a successful rock night in Bathgate, Cathouse Rock Club first opened its doors on Brown Street, Glasgow. 

It played a mix of rock music including: heavy rock, progressive rock, homegrown heavy metal, Seattle rock and British metal.

After quickly gaining popularity, Cathouse moved to a larger, more central location on Union Street, Glasgow where it is still thriving.

The Garage

Following the successful launch of Cathouse Rock Club, the garage was founded in 1994, becoming 

Scotland’s largest nightclub! 

The Garage has always tailored to a more mainstream market.

OUR JOURNEY

Over 28 years, Hold Fast Entertainment have ran multiple nightclubs, bars and restaurants including The Shed, Cube, The Tunnel and Stavka. 

Until 2014, CPL Entertainment Group were heavily focused on promoting gigs all over Scotland. For current promotions please visit Triple G Music

Since opening, The Garage and Cathouse have operated as quality live music venues hosting hundreds of gigs each year.

Our clubs have won various awards including:

SLTN Nightclub of the Year; SLTN Independent Pub/ Bar of the Year; Tennants Independent Multiple Operator; Carling Live Entertainment Venue; and Coors Light Nightclub of the Year.
